We are a design/build landscaping company—we design and install. We feel it is very important to work through an entire project with a customer so what is communicated at the initiation of the job is installed upon its completion.
The design remains the property of Plant-A-Plant Landscaping Company throughout the project. Since it is presented to you on a flat piece of paper, and your property has its own natural features, some changes may need to be made as work progresses to accomplish your desires in connection with the property constraints.
Although On-Site changes are usually required for grade adjustment and unique site conditions, the end goal is complete client satisfaction.
We do not offer a complimentary estimate. One of our designers will meet with you at your home for a consultation. Typically, this takes about an hour or two and there is a fee of $35.00 per hour. This initial on-site meeting gives you an opportunity to discuss your landscaping goals—short and long term, your plant and color preferences, and your budget. Our designer will walk the property with you, ask questions, make suggestions, and share our portfolio with you to establish your desired landscaping style and to show you some of our completed projects. We need your plat and if possible, grading plans to discuss your property.
We offer a maintenance program. After installation, a great number of our clients opt for maintenance, either, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, or seasonally. Our services include the basic care to maintain a healthy landscape from spring clean-up, through the summer growing season, to tucking your plants in for the winter: pruning, applying fertilizer and/or pre-emergent, weeding, edging, mulching, and annual color rotation. Mowing grass is not included in our service.
We can facilitate the installation of walkway lighting, irrigation systems, small to large water features and ponds (our new system is a customer's delight since it requires minimal maintenance). Also, we can do earthen ponds.
Construction of Retention and Detention Ponds are part of services provided along with Periodic Maintenance of Facilities, as required.
Although we grow seventy-five percent of the plant material, certified VIRGINIA'S FINEST, that is used in our landscaping installations, our nursery stock is especially maintained for these installations and is not sold retail.
All of our customers, prior to the installation of their new landscaping design, are encouraged to have a second meeting with their designer at our nursery to tag the plant material of their choice.
We invite you to call our office when you would like to visit with us. We usually set these appointments from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
All required designs will be submitted by Plant-A-Plant for the respective HOA Approvals. To date, Plant-A-Plant has never been denied HOA approval for any of their conceptual designs.
